Why Florida skin feels confused

Going from humid outdoor air to cold, dry air conditioning many times a day can leave skin both shiny and tight. The fix is usually lighter layers and consistency rather than more products.

Morning: hydrate, then protect

Rinse or use a gentle cleanser, then apply a moisturizer suited to your skin. Mature or dry skin often does better with a richer cream such as our moisturizing cream. Always finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher, and reapply when you are outdoors. The UV index in South Florida is high for much of the year.

A quick depuff before busy days

Chilled hydrating under-eye patches are a fast way to look more awake after a short night. Keep the box in the fridge for an extra cooling effect.

Wash day in the humidity

Sweat, sunscreen and styling products build up faster in hot weather. A soft silicone scalp scrubber helps shampoo reach the roots without scratching.

Sleep cooler

Most people sleep best in a cool room, around 65 to 68 degrees if your air conditioning allows it. Breathable cotton bedding such as our cooling cotton sheet set helps you stay comfortable, and a fan can make a room feel several degrees cooler.
